Moving into our home
February 17,2013
I move into our new home the first weekend in March! I am so excited! I can't even begin to say how thrilled I am to be doing this with Mark. This is beyond anything I could have dreamed on my own. Well... I have dreamed of living in a quaint little home with the man of my dreams...but to actually be doing it!? Here?! I'm overwhelmed with joy.
We are excited to make this place our own. The painting begins shortly after the appraisal. We've picked a few colors finally and will start soon. The remodeling will be gradual. We hope to add rooms on to either side of the house by next year and in the mean time we'll do what we can. The yard is gorgeous! Mark is super excited to begin the landscaping, to tidy up, plant, trim, and mow.
We have lots of ideas, dreams and plans. I hope you stick around and watch us grow, live, love and enjoy life as we post pictures, updates and adventures!

Our Yard One Year Later
February 17. 2014
We have definitely brightened up the place! It's been so much fun putting our home together. Below are some pics of added touches. I continue to work on wall art and little by little we will have things up. I prefer to do my own art work on the walls than to buy random pieces that mean nothing to me. We did buy a painting while we were in the Dominican Republic that is up in the office. But that was from our honeymoon so that's super special!
There are a few pieces I won't get to until this summer but they are projects I'm really looking forward to. One of them is going over our bed, one in the hallway, I have one for the sun room and I have a few photos to mat and frame that will go in the living room.
"Simple is beautiful and less is more". So the less clutter on the walls and on shelves the more peaceful the home is for me.

First Yard Work
February 18, 2013
Today we spent all day doing yard work! Right now, as I type this, I can barely move my arms. I'm posting a few pics of the yard as of today. Cannot wait to post the AFTER pics when spring comes and everything starts to turn green. We raked, trimmed, pruned, raked some more. Mark brought out the chipper. We put in all the leaves we raked and it spit back out mulch for the garden areas. It will be ready for the wedding this summer!
